Welcome to my page! Here you can find out everything that
I could possibly think of about me. First of all, my name is Ashley Kaye Saltsman. I am eighteen years old and the oldest of ten children, with the youngest being two. My mom pulled me out of Kindergarten and started home schooling me when I was about
4 or 5 years old. I home schooled all through high school and graduated in 2007
with many other friends who were home schooled also. I am now attending Lansing
Community College http://lcc.edu/ aiming for an Associate in Business, of course that
will most likely change, seeing as I have many different interests in many different things.
The past six years I have been involved with and volunteered my time at a non-profit organization called Student Statesmanship
Institute (SSI) http://www.ssi-online.org/. SSI is a camp run during the summer that teaches highschoolers about biblical worldviews and how each of them can
still have a biblical worldview in such a worldly place. It uses several different
environments asexamples and lets the teenager’s role play during a five day period.
The different environments consist of The House of Representatives, The Senate, Business, Media, Moot Court, and a
Mock Trial. During the school year we run a two-three day program where the students
role play as a Representative. This is just a taste of the summer program. I am now the Program Assistant at SSI and enjoy it very much, everyone there is like
family to me and I am truly grateful to work with people who are as passionate about living their life for God as I am. God has blessed me so much throughout the years and I can not take nor give credit
to anyone but God for all the blessings I have been given.
